DisCarded establishes roots for upcoming semester

The DisCarded student organization was established on campus this semester. Previously named Scrabble Club, the organization transitioned their name to the newly DisCarded to open up diversity within the organization for more board game genres. Its leaders are working towards creating an atmosphere that is welcoming and enjoyable for any student who wishes to escape college life and play a few games with friends.


Assistance animals become more common on campus

As time goes on, the American population continues to become more educated. With more people attending college than ever, there has been an increase in students with disabilities pursuing their degree. However, many of these students cannot complete everyday functions by themselves and rely on assistance from service animals.


NAB showcases cultural holiday traditions

The Northeastern Activities Board is presenting a cultural holiday wall during the final week of the fall semester. The purpose of the event is to allow students to explore and learn about holiday traditions from various countries. The holiday wall is inside the University Center lobby and is available for students to examine all week long during the last week of classes.


Center for Tribal Studies invites campus community to a holiday open house

The Center for Tribal Studies’ annual holiday open house is an opportunity for students, faculty and staff to take part in a celebration of the holiday season. The Center for Tribal Studies staff organizes this event along with input from the American Indian Heritage Committee. In preparation of the event each year, the Center for Tribal Studies office is decorated by students from organizations such as the American Indian Science and Engineering Society, the Native American Student Organization and Native American Greek organizations.
